july astrology

yesterday was yet another lunar ecclipse.
ever since last month i've been more attuned to astrology then usual, there is so much chaos in my thoughts—i seem to be reaching for context anywhere.

a couple of choice peices for this month
"If you are a December-born Capricorn, the June 26 eclipse marked an ending, but it was probably not the ending you had in mind. Eclipses are non-negotiable, but this one seemed more stubborn than most. As a Capricorn, you hold your feelings in because you don't like public displays of emotion, but even you had to fight back the signs of sadness, frustration, or loss.

Eclipses are cleansing and detoxifying, so even if the eclipse last month was painful (not saying it was, but if so), you will come away with a better picture of who you are and what you want to happen next. Now, armed with a new and more accurate updated vision of yourself, you can plan with greater certainty. We often don't take the time to think about the long view ahead, but that is precisely what a full moon eclipse in Capricorn would ask you to do as you move from one way of life to another."
and, i concur.
last month was unfortunate news, but it wasn't the unfortunate news i expected and for that i am glad. life keeps rolling along and we all keep trying to fight through our battles.

move from one way of life to another.

lunar ecclipses

surprisingly, the cataclysmic event predicted by my horoscope did in fact happen.
and it did happen on the eve of the 26th.

and i was angry and hurt and full of potent action.
and i was confidant and self-assured and i knew what the plan was.
and then, i went back to sleep. and i woke up. and i had a changed tune.

as you adapt your perspective, its hard to tell if you are doing so unhealthily.
i think in the past i've known, and this doesn't feel quite like that.

so we shall see what happens.
people are intriguing creatures. so is trust.

june astrology

my horoscope for the month is daunting.
this is the best quote i could find

"That same new moon, June 12, will be a boon to your health and fitness. It's the perfect time to step up your training and exercise level. Not only will you become more toned, but you will dispel stress, too. This moment will be your best point of the year to begin, for you will stick to your routine and love the results."

the rest sounds like a lot of upheaval and change. oh dear.
at least i'll be able to run off the stress.

saturn returns

there is a astrological phenomenon called saturn returns.

two years ago i came across my first mention of it when a friend explained away a situation as playing part of her return of saturn, when the universe decided to make her deal with a bunch of shit and see if she'd learned anything over the past 27 years. she played it off as one of those 'you either make it, or you don't' sort of situations. i was immediately intrigued but didn't have a name to call it by.

looking at a selection of resources* i unearthed using google, it looks like 27 is the beginning of a two/three year procession of astrological events. lunar return, saturn return, perhaps a few others. the theme is the same: moment of reckoning, adulthood, life choices, path choosing. all in bold because they are all very serious.

and here i am at twenty-seven.

on the eve of my birthday i was informed that i would be sharing my night with a solar eclipse that had epic repercussions for my year. 'this coming year will bring a complete 180 to your life in the best possible way' is a simple summary of what i was told. it was possibly the best birthday gift i received this year.

since the new year i have been interested to see what surprises are coming my way.

after a rough year (two? three?) i finally got fed up with myself and started making some changes last fall. the results have caused some tumult from time to time but more often than not brought a lot of laughter into my life. i am feeling a lot less stagnant and a lot more hopeful—as any one should when they are 27.

so i am feeling good going into this, whatever 'this' turns out to be.
